All of my flutes are hand-crafted and each one is unique, one-of-a-kind. Because of the high turnover of my inventory, I do not post an inventory, but rather, I send you a photo of the flute that meets your specifications, such as key, wood type and special features.

The most common woods I work with are: Aromatic Cedar, Spanish Cedar, Western Cedar, Walnut, Cherry, and Sepale or Mahogany.

I make flutes in all the popular keys. Drones are available (over/under style).

All Flutes must meet client expectations.

Adjustable Easy Tune Totem

Native Sunrise Flutes Highland Utah

The adjustable EASY TUNE TOTEM can convert your flute to play pitch signatures 440 hz or 432 hz, by simply increasing or decreasing the depth of the flute’s chimney (ie. side wings).

The totem has two parts, an outer shell and an inner sliding bar that determines the depth of the chimney.

With the bar set at the back of the chimney (toward the mouth piece) and the edge of the bar set about 1/16 inch from the edge of the sound hole, the flute will be set at the flat end of its range. With the bar set at the front edge of the chimney (flush with the front edge of the chimney) and the edge of the bar about 1/16 inch from the edge of the sound hole, the flute will be set at the sharp end of its range. (the 1/16 inch is about where the best tone is obtained but the totem can be set further forward or back to obtain the tone you prefer.)

Same anti-wetting feature as all Native Sunrise Flute totems.

The EASY TUNE TOTEM facilitates your ability to fine tune your flute to accommodate for your breath pressure and the ambient temperature as it changes. The totem allows a substantial change in pitch. For example, at approximately room temperature, you can adjust the flute to a 440hz pitch or a 432hz pitch. If you are playing in a cold or hot environment, you can adjust the 440hz pitch to compensate for the change in pitch due to wood temperature of the flute. If you are playing with another instrument that is difficult to tune (e.g., a piano), you can easily fine-tune your flute to the pitch of that other instrument even if it is out of tune.

Note: materials are man made to prevent expansion and contraction of totem parts.
